Community Outreach and Recovery Supports (CORS) Overview
CORS at a Glance
- The purpose of CORS is to fund outreach teams that provide recovery supports and services for individuals with opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders experiencing homelessness or housing instability and at risk of overdose, medical complications, and incarceration.
- Organizations throughout Illinois that provide recovery, peer, harm reduction, and treatment services can apply for CORS funding. Communities disproportionately affected by the opioid crisis will be given priority.
- A total of $15 million is available to be awarded over a period of 3 years to up to 14 organizations. The anticipated award range is $325,000–$350,000 per period of performance.

CORS Application Materials
Information about the Notice of Funding Opportunity is organized into four main topics: the NOFO, the application, the budget, and FAQs.
1. NOFO
The NOFO includes all program requirements and terms and conditions related to the award.
2. Application
Applications are accepted via SurveyMonkey Apply (SMA), an online application platform.
3. Budget
The CORS Budget Workbook must be uploaded as an attachment in the online application.
4. FAQs
Answers about CORS are uploaded each Wednesday. Support needs are managed ASAP.
