About the Illinois Opioid Settlements Initiative and IL RCCA websites

The Illinois Regional Care Coordination Agency (IL RCCA) administers two websites to serve as communications platforms for its work supporting the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Substance Use and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR).

Illinois Opioid Settlements Initiative (ilopioidsettlements.com)

The Illinois Opioid Settlements Initiative website reports on the settlements negotiated by the Illinois Attorney General. The site describes what settlements have been negotiated, receipts and projections of the funds from those settlements, and the expenditures of funds in accordance with the Illinois Opioid Allocation Agreement.

The site includes the following:

  • Dashboards detailing opioid settlements fund receipts, allocations, and expenditures. These updates will typically occur within 10 business days of the quarterly Governor’s Opioid Overdose Prevention and Recovery Steering Committee meetings.
  • A resource library related to opioid abatement strategies.
  • A funding opportunities page that links to both open funding notices and awarded funding supported by Illinois Remediation Funds.
  • The latest news related to opioid settlements and awarded funds.

IL RCCA Site (ilrcca.com)

The IL RCCA site reports on the activities of the IL RCCA:

  • Subaward administration activities, including funding notices and awards announcements for programs funded by opioid settlement funds, general revenue funds, and other funds as designated to the IL RCCA by IDHS/SUPR. All notices of funding opportunities will be hosted on the IL RCCA site.
  • Coordination of seven regional coalitions whose purpose is to inform the State of needs and priorities at the local level. The regional coalitions meet quarterly.

The IL RCCA site will be updated at least monthly and as needed to report on the programs administered by the IL RCCA and the activities of the coalitions. Monthly news posts may cover a wide range of topics, including

  • Updates on subawards administration, including programs awarded;
  • Updates on regional coalition meetings; and
  • Other topics of interest, such as strategies for success in applying to subawards and subrecipient program highlights.
